Just a week before its release, Forspoken has finally revealed its technical requirements in pcand the necessary hardware to play will not be little.
On the low end, fans can expect to play Forspoken at 720p 30fps on a GTX 1060, while 4K will require the latest from high-end GPUs from Nvidia and AMD.
Forspoken is a new IP from Square Enix and the first big release of what looks like a big year for the company. Notably, Forspoken is one of the first current-gen exclusive games in what is likely to be a jam-packed year of Series X and PS5 exclusive titles as the industry moves away from last-gen hardware.
On PC, Forspoken was supposed to be one of the first games to take advantage of Microsoft’s new DirectStorage API in Windows 11, but it seems that since the middle of this year Square Enix hasn’t commented on the matter.
Following a recent developer presentation, as Forspoken enters its launch week, Square Enix has revealed the final technical requirements for the PC game. And it seems that Forspoken will be very demanding.
For a minimum 720p and 30 FPS experience, PC gamers will need an Nvidia GTX 1060 or Radeon RX 5500 XT GPU paired with an Intel i7-3770 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 CPU.
At the higher end, Forspoken requires either a recently released RTX 4080 or a last-gen Radeon 6800 XT for 4K at 60 FPS.
The requirements between the two GPUs at the high end are questionable, as the 6800 XT has more or less the same performance as an RTX 3080; however, fans should wait for official benchmark tests at launch.

- Memory: 24GB
- Storage: 150 GB SSD or more
Ultra (2160p – 60FPS):
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit or Windows 11 64-bit
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5800X or Intel Core i7-12700
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT 16GB or Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 16GB
- Memory: 32GB
- Storage: 150 GB or more NVMe SSD
