Looking forward to a more substantial update, players of Fortnite Chapter 4 witnessed today the publication of a ‘silent’ content update, as all the new features were hidden in the last patch and have only been unlocked in the last few hours.
The first novelty of this hotfix is called Shield of the Guardian and it is a weapon that the most attentive fans of the free battle royale had already spotted in the Season 1 launch trailer. It is a gadget that can be recovered inside the Juror’s Chests (the white boxes that are only some points of interest) whose main ability is to generate a protective barrier that absorbs incoming damage. In addition to being able to be used on the move, the Shield of the Guardian it can also be hooked to the groundso the player can take advantage of cover while shooting at the enemy.
In addition to the shield, the developers have also updated the Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 Battle Pass screen, as mid-season deliveries have arrived. These are additional styles for Selene, Massai, Doom Slayer, Dusty and Nezumi. Each style requires the overcoming of 10 seasonal levels and it is necessary to unlock these alternative skins in the order in which they are proposed in the appropriate screen.
