In mid-May, the TRT Vorarlberg shone both at the Bizau Trail in the Bregenzerwald and at the “Schnifis Schnauf” in the Walgau. In difficult circumstances, the members once again achieved top rankings.
The track was muddy and slippery, the conditions were bad. The Bizau Trail in the Bregenzerwald challenged all runners. Almost 33 kilometers and around 1,900 meters in altitude had to be covered. The Trail Running Team Vorarlberg defied the conditions. Eva Aschaber won in her age group with a time of 4 hours and 10 minutes. Sigrid Reis just missed the podium as fourth. After a longer injury break, Dieter Reis celebrated a successful comeback with eleventh place in his category. Also among the top 20 in their class were Heiko König (14th), Markus Nachbaur (17th) and Andreas Summer (19th). At the adventure trail in Bizau, young runner Elora Reis shone as third in her class. Michaela Nußbaumer took eleventh place. Also on this weekend the Schnifis Schnauf took place in Walgau. Here, after 4.8 kilometers and almost 700 meters in altitude, two TRT members placed on the podium. Jessica Siegl took third place and Andreas Gehrer second in their respective age groups.
