The students of the University of Paris Cité find it difficult to swallow what has just happened in this university establishment. Indeed, on Wednesday, January 25, a student was stabbed as she was about to get out of an elevator.
The victim, of Algerian origin and aged 32, was taken care of in critical condition. The latter was injured, especially in the head and hands, her vital prognosis. For his part, the suspect, who had fled, was placed in police custody before being hospitalized in turn.

France: an Algerian student victim of an intentional homicide attempt
The facts took place at a building on the Saint-Germain-des-Prés campus, located rue des Saints-Pères in the 6th arrondissement. According to the Paris prosecutor’s office, quoted by Le Figaro, an investigation has been launched for attempted voluntary homicide. The latter was entrusted to the 3rd division of the judicial police.
The first elements of this investigation indicated that the investigators managed to get their hands on two slopes, one within the same university, the other in a trash can at the level of a metro station. The 25-year-old suspect from Yvelines was arrested by police officers. In particular, at the Vanves-Malakoff station. The latter was taken into custody before being transferred to the hospital for an operation.
Moreover, with regard to the Algerian student, her vital prognosis is no longer engaged on Wednesday evening.

But the nature of the relationship between the Algerian student and her attacker has not yet been established. For its part, the University of Paris Cité indicated that the 7th floor of the building in question was neutralized to carry out the investigation.
This establishment also indicated that a medico-psychological emergency unit has been set up by the Paris SAMU. For her part, the Minister of Higher Education in France, came to the scene. And said to think strongly of the Algerian student victim of attempted voluntary homicide.
