French authorities report finding a body in the rubble of a historic building

AGENCIES.- The French authorities announced the discovery of a body inside a historic building in the center of Paris

Until now, it has not been revealed whether or not the body corresponds to a 57-year-old teacher, named Anne B. who had been reported missing since the accident occurred.

The report also states that the body was found among the rubble of the historic building that collapsed 6 days ago due to an explosion that left four people in serious condition and more than 50 injured.

In the same way, the authorities also revealed that the body was already in a high degree of decomposition at the time of discovery.

While the possibility that it corresponds to the sewing teacher was transcended because she was at the time of her disappearance in the Paris American Academy, whose premises were in the damaged building, which dated from the 17th century.

The mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, confirmed in a message on Twitter the discovery of the fatality in the accident that occurred on Saint-Jacques street in Paris. “On behalf of all Parisians, I send my sincerest condolences to his family and close friends. We pay tribute to him.”

In that meaning the Prosecutor’s Office opened an investigation into this event, unofficially attributed to a gas leak that has not yet been officially confirmed.
