The weather in Vorarlberg on Friday morning was unusually wintry for the time of year
The weather in Vorarlberg is playing back. Instead of T-shirts and sunglasses, winter jackets and hoods are the order of the day. In the night to Friday it snowed a lot in Vorarlberg, especially at higher altitudes. In regions over 600 meters above sea level, more than 15 centimeters of fresh snow fell in some cases.
Outlook for Friday
The nocturnal rain and snowfall will gradually weaken in the morning and retreat more and more into the mountains. The snow line then rises to over 1000 meters. It begins to loosen up from Lake Constance and the Rhine Valley. The afternoon will be dry and quite sunny, especially away from the mountains.
Cloudy Saturday
Saturday morning will then be largely dry, but probably mostly cloudy with little to no sun in between. In the course of the afternoon rain and snow fall, the snow line is around 1000 meters. It remains relatively cool for this time of year.
Sunday
On Sunday clouds will predominate, sunny windows are not very frequent and mostly short-lived. It also rains and snows at times, especially in the mountains. The snow line is between 900 and 1300m.
