The students in the final classes get an impression of everyday university life.

To get an impression of how a seminar at a university can work, Bianca Aust MSc and Ass. iur. Friederike Metzler-Koll from the University of Liechtenstein our prospective high school graduates. In a two-hour workshop on the topic of “Opportunity Recognition”, the students learned how business model innovations are systematically identified and evaluated from the customer or user perspective. In doing so, it is important to think outside the box and to keep an eye on people’s needs, the technological possibilities and the market’s receptivity in order to turn it inside out with a completely new idea if possible. The students were then allowed to become active themselves: they developed ideas on one of the global megatrends such as globalization or demographic and social change and presented them to the others. Results such as Tinder for people looking for flat shares or artificial intelligence in the fridge inspired the speakers and showed how creatively young people would approach the current challenges in the world.
