For flights to the United States, proof of a corona vaccination still has to be provided – but this requirement is now expiring.

USA vacationers no longer have to present a corona vaccination certificate for entry. This applies from today (12.05.). In its travel advice, the Federal Foreign Office writes that vaccination is compulsory for international air travelers at the entry to the US will be lifted effective May 12.

So far, only fully vaccinated people could enter by plane – there were only a few exceptions.

The fact that the vaccination requirement for international air travelers only applies until May 11 (Thursday) had that White House announced earlier this month. The national Covid-19 public health emergency in the United States also expires on this day. (dpa)
