These 5 Taylor Swift Collaborations Prove Our Point

From the Dessner brothers, through Kendrick Lamar and the HAIM sisters, Taylor Swift has a variety of successful and very good collaborations with which he has managed to show that he can make a hit with any musical genre he wants.

5.- “Coney Island” (ft The National)

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Taylor Swift joined forces with The National’s Aaron Dessner to work on the album ‘Folklore’ which was a surprise for several fans, since it presented us with a more organic album full of strings, metals and harmonies in voices.

He liked the result so much that one album later (‘Evermore’) Taylor called The National (Dessner brothers band) for a collaboration called “Coney Island”, where Taylor and company continued with that line of songs that make us feel very nostalgic when listening to them.

4.- “No Body, No Crime” (ft. HAIM)

The sixth track of evermore had the participation of Alana, Este and Danielle HAIMwho mainly gave voice to this song in which Taylor told the story of This one, a woman who is murdered and basically disappeared by her husband. to be able to be with her lover.

In the end, Este’s best friend takes revenge for the woman’s death and where they mixed genres like rock, country and pop, where the moving and powerful voices of the HAIM sisters stood out.

3.- “Nothing New” (ft. Phoebe Bridgers)

This song was added from the “trunk” for Taylor Swift’s re-recorded album, Red (Taylor’s Version), which was released in November 2021. This piece with the collaboration of Phoebe Bridgers and in addition to the voice, this song is one of the best collaborations of the singer for the message.

In “Nothing New,” Taylor talks about the pressure and anxiety that women experience within the music industry (and before society in general), where it seems like they have to exceed expectations all the time to stay relevant.

2.- “Safe & Sound” (ft. The Civil Wars)

This song was part of the soundtrack of the film ‘Hunger Games’ (2012) and for fans of the saga created by author Suzanne Collins, the song perfectly captured the essence of the famous story starring Katniss Everdeen.

The video let us see Taylor Swift walking through a Tennessee forest and the country band, The Civil Wars, singing in front of the fireplace of a house. The combination of Taylor’s voices, the band, and the sounds of instruments like the banjo, just conveyed that atmosphere of sadness and vulnerability.

1.- Bad Blood (ft. Kendrick Lamar)

Perhaps one of the best and most “weird” collaborations that we never expect to see in a Taylor Swift repertoire, was the one that the singer did in 2014 together with the rapper Kendrick Lamar, who helped create this song that was said on many occasions, had a dedication to Katy Perry.

Taylor Swift denied this and although she mentioned that she was only talking about a friendly disappointment from someone she believed to be her friend, fans found plenty of references to confirm that this song was for the “I Kissed a Girl” singer.

The truth is “Bad Blood” became a commercial success. Beyond the song itself, it was because of the music video where literally dozens of celebrities (Taylor’s friends or ex-friends at the time) appear as Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Zendaya, among others.

Being one of the biggest stars in music, Taylor Swift has a long list of collaborators and another list of artists who would surely give anything to have a song with her.. What song would you add to this list?
