Diesel fuel and unleaded 95 were up more than 3 cents per liter last week in France.

After relatively stable prices since the beginning of the year and the end of station discounts, fuel prices saw their prices rise sharply last week.

Diesel was displayed on average at 1.9162 euros per liter, an increase of 3.2 cents, and unleaded 95-E10 gasoline at 1.8748 euros per liter, an increase of 3.8 cents, according to the latest price from the Ministry of Ecological Transition as of Friday January 20.

If we look at the price variations in recent months, it is the first time since mid-October that diesel has gone above the 1.91 euro per liter mark. It should also be noted that at this time, its price still benefited from a government discount of 30 cents and 20 cents more at Totalenergies stations.

For gasoline, you have to go back to mid-July to find a price above 1.87 euros per liter.

After several weeks of decline, the price of crude oil also rose last week, with a barrel of Brent North Sea oil trading at 83.9 dollars, up 4.7 dollars over one week.
