Emma Ellingsen and Andreas “TIX” Haukeland are hardly unfamiliar names, and together they have one million followers on Instagram.
The former is known for his platform on social media, and has previously appeared on TV 2’s Bloggerne – while Haukeland has made big headlines with his music career.
But as time goes by, it is not unheard of that one can miss the search for new experiences and experiences, but now one of the profiles reveals that they want to try a completely new career path.
One special gift
In connection with Merry Christmas Norway, both Ellingsen and Haukeland visited the studio at Aker brygge, where they both looked forward to a relaxed Christmas celebration.
– We just want to have a chill Christmas, without stress. Or – maybe mum is stressing a bit about the food, she says with a laugh and continues:
– We always eat ribs, but I’m not too happy about it. So medister cakes and accessories will be on me, and we’ll take it easy. Christmas Eve finishes at eight o’clock, so after that we just relax.
And even if many people don’t want to admit it, the presents can be one of the big reasons why many people look forward to Christmas Eve. Then it is a special gift she has received in the past, which she remembers particularly well:
– I wanted an iPhone 4, but I didn’t get one. Then there was grandpa’s old phone – a Samsung! I was really disappointed right away. But it went well, she chuckles.
Like Ellingsen, there is a special gift from childhood that Haukeland remembers particularly well. But maybe for other reasons.

– It must be my guitar, which I got when I was 14. It’s the same guitar that I still use, and I played that room Christmas all the time – until my fingers bled, he says and continues:
– I think a lot about 14-year-old Andreas, who got it and played terribly, and the version of me today who still uses the guitar. I will bring it to Oslo Spektrum in January!
Stressful Christmas
In addition, he is strict when it comes to gifts, and refuses to allow his parents to spend money on him. But with his brother, on the other hand, he has an extraordinary tradition:

– I get a present from my brother every year. The starting point is to make the other person laugh, and I have been given avocados, leeks and a sack of potatoes. Once I got sunglasses with a moustache, and that was probably the best gift I’ve ever received from Mathias.
This year he will celebrate with his family, which is mum, dad, his brother Mathias, two dogs – and a demented cat, of course.
However, he does not hide the fact that he feels more stress linked to the festive season.
– Everyone is busy with themselves and theirs, so I spend a lot of time on myself. I actually feel a bit lucky to have parents who celebrate Christmas with traditions, but I’m a bit unsure if I’ll keep them. I don’t think my generation will stress so much there, says the popular artist who in 2022 took steps to reduce stress a little more:
– I prioritized leisure to a much greater extent, and defied my own comfort zone extremely much. Had more focus on the fact that life should be lived here and now, simply.
New career choice
2022 marked many new changes for Ellingsen, and she herself describes it as the year in which she has become more mature. More grown up than a 21-year-old can be, then.
– I have taken responsibility and traveled a lot, and have previously worked with a modeling agency. But this year there have been many new jobs!

Like the model, the artist says that he has also grown. This is the year where he has decided to say yes to things, and has become more aware that life must be lived:
– I set myself a goal this year that I should write a diary. Was going to write since day one. And I have done that too. I don’t quite know what I’m going to do with the book, but maybe it will be a book that I can show my children in the future.
Is it too early to talk about New Year’s resolutions? Because there, Ellingsen has made a specific career choice:
– I do have a make-up brand and work as a model, but I would like to try my hand at acting! I simply want to be in a film, so this can be an open application if there is a director who comes along, she laughs.
– Been difficult
However, it is not smooth sailing to be a public profile today. They have both felt that themselves, and do not hide that it has been difficult.
– It has been difficult, but it is nice that people know about it. I admire Andreas who has told about himself and his, states Ellingsen.
Despite the fact that many are familiar with the artist, he states that they now know a new version of him:

– Before, when people didn’t know much about me – they believed a lot. Now they know me a little better and that’s nice. I am an open book, and like to share my life.
Despite that, he has felt remorse about the choice to be so open with the public:
– But I laugh about it. If there was a button where I could turn it off, that would be nice. But what is the alternative? I can’t imagine what would have happened if I hadn’t been so open.
