Despite a January full of news for Xbox Game Pass, Phil Spencer does not seem to be completely satisfied. The Xbox CEO’s hope is that the subscription service can further improve in 2023in particular thanks to the contribution of first-party exclusives of the caliber of Starfield And Redfall.

This was revealed by Spencer himself during a recent and very rich interview granted to the editorial staff of IGN. Among the most important statements is the CEO’s willingness to contribute to the growth of the entire Xbox ecosystem – which obviously also includes the PC world. Here are his statements:

Redfall and Starfield are really important games, like all first-party titles we’re working on. Game Pass has grown steadily over time. And this growth process will certainly continue as we add new IPs and sequels of known titles“.

In short, Spencer is convinced that the IP Bethesda portfolio will be able to give a big hand to the affirmation of the Xbox videogame project among the general public, especially after a 2022 which he himself defined as ‘too meager, in terms of launching new titles. The CEO is personally assumed responsibility of the difficulties experienced by Xbox last year, promising fans of the American videogame giant a totally different 2023.
