On April 25, 2021, a subject profiled as a talker from the terrorist organization MS, identified as José Lázaro MN, was accused by the Attorney General of the Republic of beating his partner using an aluminum bat.
Subsequently, the subject took her out of the house and took her to the field of the 13 de Febrero community, in Ilopango, where he tried to suffocate her with a wire.
The victim managed to survive because she began to scream for help and attracting the attention of the neighbors who left their homes causing the subject to flee after being surprised. The victim was admitted to a care center and Legal Medicine ruled that the wounds would heal in 60 days.
For this fact, the First Specialized Court of Instruction for a Life Free of Violence and Discrimination for Women, of San Salvador, ordered the opening of a trial against José Lázaro for the attempted aggravated femicide to the detriment of the victim CVD
The judge considered that the events of femicide violence carried out by the defendant against his partner were accredited and that, despite the fact that he belongs to a criminal group where there is a lot of gender violence against women, the victim decided to report the fact. “This victim has managed to survive gender violence because she denounced it,” she said.
