An alleged gang of five criminals was arrested by the Misiones Police accused of at least three robberies in the towns of Garupá, Candelaria and Posadas, respectively. One of the victims is a member of the National Gendarmerie.

According to sources from the force, the arrests were the result of intelligence work and three simultaneous raids, where the investigators confirmed the seizure of a firearm, Fal projectiles, marijuana, household appliances, cash, clothing, and various tools. , among other stolen items.

The procedures were completed yesterday morning, around 9 o’clock. The members of the Complex Investigations Directorate, together with their peers from the Garupá Police Station, arrested the five people involved in the robbery of a store in that town.

The investigations began as a result of a complaint from a 38-year-old merchant, who stated that last Thursday they entered two of her stores in Garupá, where a clothing store and a fast food house operate. They took clothing, a bottle, electrical appliances and jewelry from the place.

The troops were able to establish through filming and different inquiries that those involved were traveling on motorcycles at the time of the robbery.

The cross-linking of data allowed the criminals to be related to a robbery that occurred in the Anselmo de Candelaria neighborhood. The event was recorded on Monday, when criminals entered a vet and stole 8,000 pesos and two cell phones.

With all this, they located where the criminals could be together with the stolen goods and with the order of the Investigating Court One of Posadas, in charge of Judge Marcelo Cardozo, they broke into two houses in Garupá located in the La Ripiera neighborhood, 140 houses and another de Posadas in the Miguel Lanús neighborhood.

There, they arrested Alejandro C. (27), Catalina A. (22), Juliana O. (21), Lisandro G. (19) and detained a minor under 17 years of age. The older ones were taken to the police station where they were placed at the disposal of Justice, while the minor was housed in the CeMoAs.

It was noted that among the recovered items were found stolen in Posadas, which would be from a National Gendarmerie cash. After the rigorous procedures, all objects will be returned to their rightful owners.
