You are currently viewing “Garbage”: Bad reviews for Apple’s new FineWoven cases

As of today, Apple is delivering the new iPhone 15 models to first-time buyers.

This time Apple is foregoing leather cases. To protect the new devices, the vegan version “FineWoven” is used. The material replaces leather for environmental reasons. A good idea, but the new product is obviously not a quality product as we usually see from Apple.

The trouble with the cases starts with the high price of 69 euros. The material value is probably barely half the price…

Not a good feeling in the hand

The material feels low quality and slippery. Signs of use become apparent very quickly – especially at the edges. Material is peeling off. Anyone who comes across their key chain with the case or accidentally touches the case with their fingernail will see unsightly lines like those below.

Material quickly worn out: “Like absolute garbage”

The first reviewers warn that the cases quickly look very worn out even with normal handling, but only with more intensive handling. “Absolutely terrible,” judges Mmacrumors. The quality of the case does not match the high price.

Or how a user rages on X:

“I’ve been using Apple cases for my phones since the iPhone 7, but I’ve never returned a case as quickly as I did with the fine woven case I pre-ordered last Friday. Fine woven looks like absolute garbage.”
