The Chinese certification body has published the data sheet of the Realme GT Neo 5, which leaves little room for doubt. Among the interesting points: the charging power of 240 W. Enough to recharge the smartphone in less than 10 minutes.
One of the next smartphones expected from Realme is the GT Neo 5, sequel to the GT Neo 3 released last July. The manufacturer would skip number four, believed to bring bad luck in Asia (it’s called the tetraphobia Besides). The Chinese certification authority, the Tenaa has published on its site the complete technical specifications of this smartphone, as reported GSMArena – via Techgoing.
Two versions of the Realme GT Neo 5 with different charging
Two models have been registered by Realme, responding to the sweet names of RMX3706 and RMX3708. These two models are not very different, only the battery changes: the first has a 4850 mAh battery, the second 4450 mAh. It can be assumed that each of these models has a two-cell battery.
Previous rumors, on the other hand, noted that the GT Neo 5 would have a version with a 5,000 mAh battery and 150W fast charging and a second version with 4,600 mAh and 240W charging. This second version would make it possible to recharge the smartphone in less than 10 minutes, which would make it an example for the rest of the market (especially in relation to its price positioning).

For the rest, we would be entitled to a 6.74-inch AMOLED screen with a definition of 2772 by 1240 pixels. The SoC would have eight cores and would be clocked at 3 GHz. For unlocking, the GT Neo 5 would be equipped with a fingerprint sensor located under the screen. The model is said to be 8.9mm thick and weigh 199g.
On the photo side, there would be three photo sensors on the back: 50, 8 and 2 Mpx. On the front, there would be a 16MP selfie sensor. As for storage, several options would be offered: 128, 256, 521 GB or 1 TB; it would be 8, 12 or 16 GB for RAM.
According to our colleagues from GSMArena, the Realme GT Neo 5 will be unveiled next month in February, without a date being announced. We can also think that it will be presented to the whole world during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) which will take place from February 27th.
