German espionage warns about the anti-European course of the German extreme right

Berlin, Aug 7 (EFE) that formation.

“In successive statements by the party, an ethnic concept of the people is observed and respect for the dignity of certain population groups is questioned,” said the head of that department, Thomas Haldenwang, in statements to the German public television ARD.

Haldenwang also referred to the conclusions of the assembly held by the AfD last weekend to define its electoral program for the 2024 European elections, in which the proposal to “refound” what they consider to be a “failed” Union was imposed. European (EU).

The head of Interior espionage warned against certain interventions over the two consecutive weekends in which the party delegates chose the candidates for the European elections and the party’s strategy was defined.

Some of the candidates made “clearly unconstitutional” proclamations, Haldenwang said, thus reiterating his warnings already formulated a week ago, against which the AfD leadership appealed to the courts, considering that the secret services were trying to influence the policy of the country.

The AfD occupies the second position in intention to vote at a national level and even the first in what concerns the east of the country, where next year three regional elections will take place.

The so-called European assembly of the party approved this Sunday the electoral program, in which it is proposed to replace the current EU with a “Federation of Nations” that returns powers to the states that comprise it.

This motion is a somewhat softened version of the one defended by the most anti-European wing of the party and which sought an “orderly dissolution” of the EU or the departure of Germany from the organization – the so-called “Dexit”, a play on words between “Deutschland” and the British Brexit.

In the course of the debates among the delegates, fiery criticism was directed at the EU, which was branded as corrupt and “poison” for the Member States, as well as “usurper” of national competences. Likewise, the EU was accused of not tackling the problems derived from the arrival of irregular immigration.

The AfD is part of the European Identity and Democracy group, which also includes the French National Group of Marine Le Pen, the Italian League and the Austrian FPÖ.

The head of the list for the 2024 European elections will be Maximilian Krah, identified with the radical sector headed by the regional leader of the “Land” of Thuringia, Björn Höcke. EFE
