Leipzig – An audience of millions saw her alongside Heidi Klum (49) in the current season of “Germany’s Next Top Model”. Slata Schneider (19) spent two weeks in the model villa in Los Angeles until Klum sent her home. Now she is back in Leipzig – at Breuninger. Slata works there between expensive branded clothes as a temporary assistant alongside her law studies.

But that’s not her only job in the house on the market. Participation in the model show brought the native Russian a job at “Energy Sachsen”, four floors up. It can be heard there several times a week.

“The radio station asked me if I would like to report on my time with the top models and maybe also unpack things that you don’t see on TV. I went on the air for the first time last Friday,” says Slata.

Some expulsions would have surprised you. “It was also a shock to me that Tracy, one of my favorites, left voluntarily.”

Tracy (25) from Essen made her decision with the “Stress and the Drama in the Mansion” explains why she can’t handle it. Slata: “I wasn’t there that long, but I can’t understand it. They take really good care of us and we don’t have to starve like many people think.”

At the casting she weighed 56 kilograms and was 1.76 meters tall. After the GNTM-Aus it was four kilos more. “We had a lot of sweets. Most of the time I nibbled on such cheese nibbles, but there were also Donuts und Bagels.“

Nobody gave the girls a bad feeling if they didn’t fit into a dress, says the Leipzig native. “Heidi now also preaches that we are all just great the way we are and don’t have to lose weight.”

But it is clear that she does not want to become a curvy model or a skinny model. “I want to stay the way I am and I’m careful not to eat too much sweets so that my skin stays beautiful.”

Instead of being on the catwalk, Slata is now back at the department store checkout, and has already been asked about the show. “I’m always happy when I can chat with customers a little about GNTM.”

She is still interested in modeling jobs. “Television appeals to me too, mostly formats like ‘Bachelor’. That’s not so trashy. However, I have been very happily forgiven for the past two years.”
