The Executive Committee of the Professional Soccer League (LPF) met today at the AFA premises, in Ezeiza, and approved a general amnesty for clubs of all categories and soccer players who must meet up to three sanction dates, just like last season.

The executive board of the League approved repeating the methodology of the previous season and that had its beginning previously at the time of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The decision will not only affect First Division clubs and players, but all divisions and the various activities that are affiliated and related to the AFA.

The amnesty will be executed for footballers who have up to three suspension dates, so Boca Juniors striker Darío Benedetto will not be involved in the measure, who has four sanctions and must comply with them in the Professional League tournament, which will take place will start this weekend.

The measure will be regulated between tonight and tomorrow by the AFA Disciplinary Court, after which it will be published in the Official Gazette of the Football Association.
It is worth mentioning that the reason for which this measure was taken is the extensive stoppage resulting from the Qatar World Cup that prevented the players from being able to comply with their sanctions in 2022 and had to wait until activity returns this year.

On the other hand, it was also decided to extend the book of passes for the Professional League until Thursday, February 2 at 8:00 p.m., instead of tomorrow at the same time as originally planned.
