Parral.- The Government of Parral began with the work of relocating the enormous equestrian statue of General Francisco Villa, within the work of the Revolutionary Pavilion, a project that has been yearned for by the community for many years. The statue will be relocated just a few meters from where it stands in a project known as “The Revolutionary Pavilion.”

“With an advance of 10 meters, it is expected that this weekend it will be next to the base that is already forging to place said monument,” reported the mayor, César Peña Valles.

He also stressed that this action is of great importance, since for years tireless work was done to obtain permission from the National Institute of Anthropology and History, and in this administration it was achieved.

He also highlighted that this work was chosen by the citizens within the Participatory Budget, with which, it is reiterated that it is the people of Parral themselves who decide on government work.

The relocation of the statue of General Francisco Villa in the work of the Revolutionary Pavilion is a very significant project for the community, since it not only honors the memory of the Centauro del Norte, but also embellishes and enriches the cultural heritage of the city.

Peña Valles reiterated that the work on the Revolutionary Pavilion will be completed in the first days of July of this year, and its inauguration is expected to be a memorable event for the city within the framework of the centenary of the death of General Francisco Villa.

The revolutionary pavilion will be located just a few meters from where Francisco Villa was shot to death in 1923 in the heart of the city, just behind Plaza Juárez and a few steps from the Museum in honor of the “Centauro del Norte.”
