The model Heidi Klum and her hit series “Germanys Next Topmodel” – or GNTM for short – will be in their 18th season in 2023. The castings for the new shows are already over. From February, models – and prospective models – also from NRW will be hoping to win the TV show and the associated model contract. But which participants from NRW have been able to assert themselves in recent years? And what are you doing today? We have collected the GNTM winners from NRW in a list.
Jana Beller: winner of the sixth season
Jana Beller prevailed on GNTM in 2011 and thus the Pro Sieben model crown. Beller was born in 1990 in what was then the Soviet Union. At the age of seven she moved with her parents to Haltern am See in North Rhine-Westphalia. “A great springboard,” she said in 2011 about her victory at GNTM to Bunte. However, she quickly canceled the contract with the model agency that was offered to her after the win.
She stayed in the business anyway: Beller was contracted by another agency and modeled for Hugo Boss or Esprit. 11,300 people follow Beller on her Instagram account. More than ten years later she is still active in the modeling business. She is also a franchise partner in the bakery chain “Backwerk”.

Vanessa Fuchs: winner of the tenth season
In the tenth season of GNTM – i.e. in 2015 – Vanessa Fuchs prevailed against her competitors. Fuchs was born in Bergisch-Gladbach in 1996. Even years after her victory at GNTM, she is still active in the model business.
In 2022 she ran at the Fashion Week in New York – one of the largest events in the fashion world – and is also booked internationally as a model for other events. In 2020 she graced the magazine cover of the issue. Her Instagram account has almost 300,000 followers, where she regularly posts photos and impressions of her life.
Alex Mariah Peter: Season 16 Winner
Peter was born in Cologne in 1997. In 2021 she won the 16th season of GNTM and was the first trans woman to ever win this show. In addition to model contracts, some of which she was offered while the show was still running, Peter received 100,000 euros and a car for her victory in the final. In the meantime, the trans woman is very self-confident about her coming out. Peter currently has 295,000 Instagram followers. Fans of the Cologne native receive regular updates here.
From February, Peter will be back in front of the camera: Then the GNTM winner will take part in the RTL show Let’s Dance.
