The Bludenzer Karatekas collected a gold medal, a 4th place and a lot of tournament experience last weekend in the Tyrol.

The tournament was preceded by a fantastic course with the two Italian grandmasters Alessandro Cardinale (7th Dan) and Silvio Campari (7th Dan). In several varied training units, the Bludenzer Karatekas trained intensively in Kihon, Kata and Kumite together with around 100 other participants from Germany, Italy and all over Austria.

Late on Saturday afternoon, the friendship tournament was on the program for our junior karatekas. There were three different age groups in the Fuku-Go (Kata and Kumite) competition. For most of our starters, it was the first tournament ever, so the nervousness was correspondingly high. On the tatami, however, there was not much to be felt and all seven Bludenzer karatekas delivered excellent fights. Leo Vonbun was able to secure 4th place in the category children 1 male at his tournament premiere and Laurin Hoch even made it to the top of the podium after an exciting final fight. He deservedly took home the gold medal.

Congratulations to the Bludenzer Karatekas on these great results.
