For a long time, Google has offered the option of entering text via voice in its online office solution, Google Workspace. On the Workspace Blog the company now announces that it will improve the features for entering and editing text in Google Docs and Google Slides. The live captions when presenting slides in slides should also be improved.

The goal is to reduce the errors within the transcription and the loss of audio information during the transcription. One would also like to extend the availability of the function to most common browsers. In the future, live captions will continue to be automatically generated with punctuation.

The update will be rolled out to all Google Workspace and G Suite customers immediately. Private accounts can also participate.
