O Pixel Fold has been gaining media attention. After having its possible release date revealed, a new leak shared the main specifications of the device, suggesting an OLED screen, triple rear cameras and up to 512 GB of storage. The device also appeared in a video that showed some of the design chosen by the company, reinforcing the same construction seen in other renderings.

What to expect from the Pixel Fold

O Pixel Fold It may bring an external 5.8-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2092 x 1080 pixels, a 17.4:9 aspect ratio and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The internal OLED screen should be larger, measuring 7.6 inches with a resolution of 2208 x 1840 pixels, a 6:5 aspect ratio and the same refresh rate.

Inside, a Tensor G2 octa-core 2.85 GHz processor is expected, developed in 5 nanometers by the company itself. Google, combined with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB or 512 GB of internal storage. It is worth remembering that this is the same chip embedded in the Pixel 7 e 7 Pro.

The triple camera setup can include a 48-megapixel main sensor with optical stabilization; a 10-megapixel wide-angle secondary and the last 10-megapixel telephoto with 5x optical zoom. The front camera on the external screen delivers 10 megapixels, while the internal screen adds up to 8 megapixels.

Battery capacity was not mentioned, but it is believed that the device will offer more than 24 hours of autonomy on a single charge. Other features include: digital reader on the side, Android 13 as operating system and 283 grams of weight.

price and availability

O Pixel Fold may be released on May 10 alongside the Pixel 7a. This model should hit stores in two versions:

  • 12 GB + 256 GB: US$ 1.799 (R$ 9.113);
  • 12 GB + 512 GB: US$ 1.919 (R$ 9.721).

Anyway, we will have to wait for more information to confirm (or not) all of this.
