Google bet your future big with the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems. That was the message that was more than clear to us in his last conference I/O 2023.
But that hasn’t stopped the company from creating some more than interesting experiments and with much clearer ethical boundaries than the people at OpenAI con ChatGPT.
We saw a perfect example of this in the last talk, where the firm not only showed its future ambitions in the short, medium and long term in the field of AI.
But also, on top of all this, they have been working on some other curious and entertaining projects, where they have also implemented the use of Artificial Intelligence systems to create video games.
It would therefore be an attempt to inspire a more responsible use of AI platforms, demonstrating through a playful experience their potential for real application. Ultimately Alphabet seeks to use this technology to produce art and source experiences.
And this is where mobile games would play an important role so that ordinary users can gauge the scope and possibilities of these platforms.
Google created a lot of video games with Artificial Intelligence and so you can try them
First of all a bit of context. Throughout the complex internal framework of Alphabet there is a division called Arts & Culture de Googlewhich is nothing more than a non-profit initiative that generates and presents creative content from artists and cultural institutions with the intention of making it more accessible to everyone.
It is from this area that the project for the development of a series of video games was generated using Artificial Intelligence systems as the only basis for its creation.
Arts & Culture users have long been able to experiment with AI-generated art through this system and now it is taken to the next level by complementing it with video games.
The games are simple: in one you have to guess which image was generated by an AI and which was not. In another we have to guess monuments in a world generated by AI and so on.
To test these titles we only have to follow a few basic steps:
- Visit artsandculture.google.com or download the Arts & Culture app to Android o iOS.
- Go to the navigation bar and click on Play or touch the game controller icon.
- Select the game by clicking or touching its icon from the list.
And ready. Most games will be ready to launch by selecting it and tapping on the Play button. Although some still “not finished” will change the legend to “start experiment”.
Even so, the vast majority are a very illustrative experience of what the future of this industry could be.
