Regina Tucker (28) has been on the screen on several occasions, including in Every time we meet and Norway’s new megahit. This spring, the Bergen rapper, who goes by the stage name “Myra”, makes his debut as presenter.
In Hemmelige duettet, famous artists will sing a duet with other musical talents with whom they have a special relationship.
A wall separates the artists, and they have no idea who is on the other side until the wall disappears.
Intense recording
Tucker is not alone as host of Secret Duets. With her is Thomas Numme (52), who has several years of program management experience.
– I felt a great responsibility which can make you a little nervous. But since Numme has been doing it for so many years, it didn’t feel as scary, Tucker tells TV 2 and adds:

– He gave me a good tip that it is best to just be natural. That it is not a role to be taken on.
There were long recording days where they often recorded two episodes a day.
– It was an intense recording, but a very nice experience. I am very much behind the concept, so it felt very right to accept this job, she says.
The 28-year-old believes that we need to explore what music does to us to a greater extent.
– I feel that music is healing. It’s such a universal language that speaks to all of us and I thought everyone should take singing lessons.

Dreading to see it on TV
There is one incident in particular Tucker dreads watching on screen. Just before one of the recordings, the artist had to fix his hair himself.
– I managed to use a hair cream that is white, so the whole hair became completely white. It’s very superficial, but it was really annoying and I dread watching it a little bit, says Tucker with a laugh.
The 28-year-old is looking forward to watching the programme, and she is excited to see how the response will be.
– I can’t wait to see if others get the same experience as me when they watch. It was a bit emotional to see the reactions of the artists. In the program you get to see a lot of love, togetherness, and big voices where there is a high musical level.
