The French, now accustomed to green energy, are more and more numerous to want to invest their savings in these new infrastructures. Sandrine Bize has invested 1,000 euros in the heating network near her home. “I am committed for myself, I am committed for my family and I am committed for future generations”she says.

Residents invest

18 km of pipes will carry the heat from the incineration of waste to 80 buildings, schools, social housing or emergency centres. The agglomeration offers the inhabitants to invest financially in the project, up to 400,000 euros. “To move from the side believing in renewable energies to the practicing mode”, explains Pierre Tébaldini, Chief of Staff for the Marne and Gondoire conurbation. The price of heating should be lower and at a fixed price. The project should also bring money to investors.
