“I smoked a lot of firecrackers…“
Facing the presenter Guillaume Pley, the actor admits frankly: “JI had many, many ocds (obsessive compulsive disorder, editor’s note) in my childhood and later years. I haven’t had much of it for about five or six years, but I’ve had periods…“, he confided, before adding: “As I smoked a lot of firecrackers at one time, it was even worse“, reveals Guillaume Canet, evoking without taboo his consumption of cannabis, visibly passed. What strongly accentuate his manias, as he explains it: “In fact, I could park, go up to my house on the fifth floor without an elevator and say to myself: ‘No, I didn’t lock the car…’, when I had done so 20 times. So I went back down, walked around the car and left, but at the end of the street I could doubt and come back.”

Guillaume Canet claims to have almost got rid of his tocs, after having understood, thanks to the help of a psychologist, that it was indeed a reaction linked to anxiety. An anxious temperament that he cannot deny: “Faucets were leaking everywhere in my house. Because I closed them completely, to be sure that it did not leak, but in fact the joints were chewing“, he laughs today. If the director would therefore have also calmed down on his consumption of illicit substances, he still remembers having consumed them rather recently, during a very special interview with Mr Octopus!
