In his “Oh… You Didn’t Know” podcast, Road Dogg had high praise for SmackDown commentator Michael Cole, comparing him to veteran Jim Ross, current AEW commentator.
He’s still there doing it today, man. And to do it better, I’d say he’s the Jim Ross of our generation… Michael Cole is the greatest. He is the voice of the WWE, without a doubt.
Road Dogg even recalled his story of the recordings for a publicity of water guns with Michael Cole, accompanied by Billy Gunn and X-Pac.
Michael Cole, his first week there, was in publicity with us. And they came to us and said, “Whatever happens, don’t shoot him in the face.” Okay, here we go and X-Pac looks at me and says, “To his face, right?” I said, ‘Can you believe it!’”
