Actors from The Rings of Power, Ted Lasso and Harlan Coben’s new Shelter series were present on the red carpet to launch this 2023 edition.
Despite the beautiful sun on the Côte d’Azur, it was a rain of stars that opened the 62nd Monte-Carlo television festival this Friday evening. The actors of the series of the moment had all come to the red carpet of the rock, to open this 2023 edition, starting with the American star, John Goodman. The Coen brothers’ favorite actor will be the president of the jury this year.
We were thus able to come across Kola Bokinni, James Lance et Billy Harris of the team of Ted Lasso, the hit series from Apple TV+ that just ended. Also Chine Thybaud, Ness Merad et Stephane de Groodt were in the party to celebrate season 2 of Toulouse Lautrec who arrive.
Middle-earth was also well represented since Max Baldry (Silence), Lloyd Owen (Elendil), Owain Arthur (Durin IV) et Cynthia Addai-Robinson (Miriel) made the trip to Monaco, having just returned from New Zealand where they have just finished production on season 2.
Finally, the writer Harlan Coben and its actors (including Constance Zimmer) were the guests of honor of the evening, since they presented in stride, in world preview, the series Sheltera thriller for Prime Video (which will be released on August 18) adapted from the eponymous book by the famous American novelist.
The 2023 Monte-Carlo Television Festival will close its doors on Tuesday, June 20.
