Benefit concert “Who Knocks”
On Sunday, December 4th, the newly renovated old church was the beautiful setting for the Advent concert “Who knocks”, which was performed by the Harmonie singing club and the Hofsteig women’s choir. The two choirs were emotionally accompanied by a string ensemble with Thomas Furrer, Oliver Modaschl and Angelika Wolf.
The overall management of the concert was in the hands of Mag. Thomas Thurnher. When choosing the songs, he also tried to show the drama and suffering that the holy couple had to experience on arrival and during their stay in Bethlehem. This roller coaster of emotions was also expressed in the atmospheric lighting by Wolfgang Seidl.
Hot drinks and soup were served at the agape in the church forecourt. The festival trailer “Hermann” was also used, which has recently been made available to the clubs by the municipality of Götzis.
The proceeds from the voluntary donations amounting to € 1,935.00 could be handed over to the Sonnenblume association, an aid organization that supports chronically ill children in Vorarlberg.
