The cinema has become a refuge for him, a world that he does not want to abandon at the same time as one of his most charismatic characters, Indiana Jones, the one that has already played for the last time. “I always wanted to complete his story, interpret him at the end of his career, in the last years of his life,” he began by pointing out in an interview with ‘The vanguard’.
In this interview, the interpreter opens up about what the saga has meant to his life, being present in the 40-year career that he has had in the film industry. On the tape, he assures that he never imagined having the success that he has had: “For me the important thing was to be able to work as an actor. I was never interested in fame or money. It’s not that I deny it, but what I feel is really valuable is having been part of something that has given me a great experience. I would even say that now I enjoy work more than before.”

At 80, Ford has shown that he takes care of himself, and a lot, since he is also the one who has done the action scenes of the latest ‘Indiana Jones’ movie, and he has also spoken about it in the aforementioned medium: “The truth is that I take care of myself a lot. I usually ride a bike and play tennis. I’m glad it looks like I’ve done a lot of stunts. It’s like a piece that goes on another piece and in the end everything fits together like a puzzle. I’m going to be 81 years old and age takes its toll, but I feel very pleased to have been able to do all the difficult scenes that I could.”.
And it is that, despite more than 80 years behind him, the actor does not think about retirement, as he confessed in another interview with CNN: “I don’t do well when I don’t have a job. I love working. I love feeling useful. It is my greatest wish. I want to be useful”.
