The arbovirosis surveillance report reveals that in the last three weeks 103 cases of chikungunya: While, 219 total cases of dengue in this same period.
According to the bulletin of the Ministry of Health, 60% of chikungunya cases come from Central, Asunción and Itapúa. While San Pedro and Alto Paraguay currently do not register cases of the disease.
Even though the amount of affected by chikungunya is relatively lowthere are still cases of infection throughout the national territory.
As for the denguein the last three weeks a total of 219 cases. The highest proportion of those affected is reported in the regions of Central (78), Asunción (32), Boquerón (20) and Presidente Hayes (25).
The departments of San Pedro, Alto Paraná, Amambay, Alto Paraguay and Caazapá have not registered any cases in recent weeks.
The DEN 1 and DEN 2 serotypes circulate in the country, with a slight predominance of DEN 2.

The number of hospitalizations due to arbovirosis also registers a progressive decrease. The average number of hospitalizations in the last three weeks is 41, of which 3 are hospitalizations for chikungunya and 5 for dengue. In this period, 14 new admissions were registered.
Deceased
Since the beginning of the epidemic, to date they total 288 died from chikungunya and 12 from dengue.
81% of the deceased registered some type of comorbidityCardiovascular disease being the most frequent.
Recommendations to avoid the proliferation of mosquitoes
-Do not leave objects that can accumulate water outdoors.
-Throw away those objects that will no longer be used, such as cans, bottles, lids and others.
-Place useless objects that cannot be discarded under the roof or cover (domestic appliances, tires, etc.).
-Change the water in the vase daily or replace it with wet sand.
-Inspect and clean gutters.
-Cover the containers intended for the collection of drinking water.
-Check that water does not accumulate between the trunk and the branches of the trees.
-Make sure that there is no water accumulated in the saucers of the pots.
