Apparently Gerard Piqué has not been bothered much by the song that Shakira dedicated to him, or if he did, he hides it very well. The former Barcelona player arrived at the Kings League matchday on Sunday driving a Renault Twingo, a car that the Colombian alluded to in her collaboration with BZRP.
“You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo, you traded a Rolex for a Casio”, says part of the lyrics of the song in which Shakira alludes to her breakup with Gerard Piqué. The former defender used precisely these two brands to promote the Kings League.
First it was with the watch brand. Piqué announced that Casio will be the new brand that sponsors the tournament that he organizes with Ibai: “Casio has given us watches, we have an agreement, the King League has reached an agreement with Casio”held.
Now the former defender has gone one step further, turning up in the Kings League driving a Renault Twingo car. This had already been announced by Piqué: said the ex-soccer player in this regard.
The Renault Twingo is a compact car model that has been manufactured since 1992 and is sold mainly in the European market for a price that can range from $10,000 for the most basic model to $28,000 for a fully equipped sports car. which is very little money when compared to a Ferrari, whose simplest models do not go below 250 thousand dollars.
The Twingo currently has dimensions of 3,595 mm long and 1,645 mm wide, very similar in measurements to cars like the Kia Picanto or the Hyundai i10, which are marketed in the Peruvian market, or the remembered Daewoo Tico.
