Mexico City.- The young Daniela Esmeralda Navidad Tolentino, 19 years old, was reported missing on April 25 in Jalisco. Her mother received a call from Daniela’s sentimental partner, who confessed to her mother-in-law that she murdered her and buried her in the patio of her house.

Daniela Esmeralda Navidad Tolentino was a victim of femicide in the state of Jalisco. Last April 19 was the last day her mother saw her. She left her home, located in the municipality of Tonalá, to presumably meet with her partner. Three days later, on April 25, her mother reported to the authorities that she had disappeared.

According to investigations by the authorities, Daniela’s mother received a call 13 hours after making the complaint. This was done by her daughter’s partner, who confessed to having murdered her and buried her in the patio of her house.

Immediately, the woman notified the corresponding authorities and a special operation was implemented. The Special Prosecutor for Missing Persons (FEPD) reported that it found the body of the young Daniela clandestinely buried in the patio of a house in the La Villa neighborhood, in Zapopan, Jalisco.

According to residents of the neighborhood, who gave their testimony to N+, Daniela’s boyfriend lived in the house with his mother and stepfather. In this sense, they assured that the man is the only one they continue to see in the area.

The main suspect is being held for investigation. The strategic coordinator of Security, Ricardo Sánchez Beruben, assured that the case is carried out under the femicide protocol.
