He eats 34 hamburgers in ten minutes to celebrate US Independence Day.

WASHINGTON.- The contestant Molly Schuyler revalidated his victory on Monday in the annual hamburger eating competition held in Washington by the United States Independence Day by wolfing down 34 hamburgers in ten minutes.

It is the ninth time that Shuyler, from the state of Maryland, has won the competition organized every year by the Z-Burger hamburger restaurant in the US capital and won the $2,000 prize.

The contestant beat out Dan “Killer” Kennedy of Pennsylvania, who came in second with 32 burgers, and Canadian Joel Hansen, who came in third with 27 burgers.

However, his performance was somewhat less than last year, when he managed to gobble down 37 hamburgers in ten minutes.

After winning, Schuyler declared that the competition is “a lot of fun” and that what you do with burgers you can also do with “hot dogs» or cheese treats.

The woman, a participant in dozens of food-eating contests, joked that to prepare herself she went to a buffet for breakfast.

In the United States there are many competitions to swallow food at high speed, but the most popular for Independence Day is the one organized every July 4 by the chain of “hot dogs” Nathan’s in NY.

The legendary Joey Chestnut won that contest again last year by gulping down 63 hot dogs in ten minutes.
