“He has a gun”: 12-year-old boy calls 911 to report his mother's kidnapping

TURLOCK, Calif. – Multiple 911 calls, including from the victim’s own son, alerted Stanislaus County authorities to an armed man attempting to kidnap a woman Sunday night.

“There is a guy, he is my little brother’s father and he is trying to kill my mother. He has a gun,” says a 12-year-old boy in the recording of the dispatchers.

According to a police report from the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office, a suspect who previously lived in the house kidnapped a woman in the 100 block of S Morgan Road in Turlock.

Multiple witnesses confirmed that the victim was placed in a car and driven south on Morgan Road.

With a description of the vehicle, the AIR101 helicopter was able to locate the car traveling at high speed on Central Avenue.

Following a ground pursuit, officers stopped at the Hills Ferry Bridge on Kelley Road and attempted to negotiate with the subject.

The suspect, identified as Ángel Primitivo García, struggled with the victim but eventually released her. He was safely detained, detectives said.

Garcia, 22, is believed to have forced his way into the victim’s home, brandished the weapon in a threatening manner, pistol-whipped a child, threatened numerous occupants, and dragged the woman to his vehicle.

As a result of the attack, the child was not seriously injured and the woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries, including scratches and bruises.

Ángel Primitivo García was booked into the Stanislaus County Jail and faces charges of kidnapping, false imprisonment, domestic violence, child endangerment, robbery, criminal threats, among others. He remains in custody in lieu of $495,000 bail.
