MIAMI.- Before him outrage committed on Saturday against Donald Trump During a campaign event in Pennsylvania, in her attempt to return to the US Presidency, Melania sent an emotional message thanking the country’s Secret Service for saving her husband’s life.
“I am grateful to the brave Secret Service agents and law enforcement officers who risked their own lives to protect my husband,” the former first lady said in a statement.
Melania also said she knows what her family is facing in the midst of the electoral race.
“When I saw that violent bullet hit my husband, Donald, I realized that my life and Barron’s (our son) were on the brink of a devastating change,” she said. Melania Trump in the statement posted on Instagram.
Trump was shot in the ear. One of the attendees died and two others were seriously injured. The former president’s wife also expressed her condolences to the families of the victims of the attack.
“A monster who recognized my husband as an inhuman political machine tried to suppress Donald’s passion, his laughter, his wit, his love of music, his inspiration,” Melania added.
She also described her husband as a “generous and loving” man whom she has supported in “the best and worst times.”
