Part of the Insurgentes and Josefa Ortiz de Domínguez neighborhoods, to the west of the city, have been without electrical service since last night, due to a crash that occurred on Cafeto street, near 16 de Septiembre avenue, reported elements of the Coordination of Road Safety.
The accident was caused by the driver of a gray Dodge Caliber truck, who knocked down a concrete pole of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) which held high voltage cables, according to a Highway commander.
The person responsible for the crash escaped from the scene and abandoned his truck, which remains stamped against the fence of an address.
A CFE crew is working on the site to restore the electricity service.
