A 28-year-old woman remains hospitalized in the Ramón Madariaga hospital in the provincial capital as a result of the brutal attack by her partner, who intercepted her last Friday morning in the middle of the street and attacked her with fist blows and a knife with the one that caused him several cuts.
As a result of this fact, and after a series of investigative work by the Misiones Police, the person involved was arrested, who was made available to Justice in a case that is being investigated as an attempted femicide.
As reported to this morning by police spokesmen who intervened in the case, the serious event took place on Friday, around 3 in the morning, when the victim was returning to his home in the San Lucas neighborhood.
According to the data provided by the woman before being referred to the hospital, at a certain point in her walk, her partner, identified as Celso P. (26), blocked her path with his motorcycle.
And he added that immediately, the man got out and soon attacked her in the middle of the street and taking advantage of the fact that there were no witnesses noticing his mission.
It was specified that in addition to the punches, the young man took a knife from among his belongings with which he caused various cuts to the woman’s face and neck.
And after several minutes of hell, the victim managed to escape only because her attacker decided to leave the place before he was seen.
In these circumstances, the woman managed to ask for help and was later transferred to the aforementioned hospital in the capital where she received different cures.
Spokespersons for the case indicated that the complainant’s last medical report was favorable, although she must have a recovery time due to the seriousness of the blows suffered.

Once aware of what happened, different units of Regional Units I and X of the Misiones Police began the search for the attacker. Who in the first instance was not located in the places where he used to go, so various inquiries were made to find his whereabouts.
Based on data collected from his environment, further investigations in different parts of the city, the information was obtained that the attacker had been seen in Candelaria. Therefore, an operation was set up in the old capital to locate him.
Hours later, on Saturday afternoon, the person involved was surprised when he was leaving a tenancy in the San Cayetano de Candelaria neighborhood, where he had been hiding since the moment of the attack.
Seeing himself surrounded, he had no other option but to turn himself in to the police authorities who transferred him to a police station.
There, he will wait in the next few hours to be transferred to the First Investigating Court, in charge of Judge Marcelo Cardozo, for his corresponding investigation in the framework of the case for the serious attack.
