Undercover agents of the Misiones Police handled information about the arrival in the city of Eldorado of Jaime Leonardo M. (38), who was detained for narcotics, however, in December 2019 he escaped from the Third police station along with two other accomplices and would have hidden during this time in Paraguay.

According to what was reported by police sources, around 11 p.m. yesterday, the members of the First Police Station carried out surveillance tasks in the neighborhood, because they had information that the escapee would be in that area. In this context, they observed the criminal when he tried to enter a house with the intention of stealing.

They quickly intercepted and detained him, and they also kidnapped a screwdriver along with a pliers that he had used to try to attack the uniformed officers at the time of his arrest.

The detainee was sentenced to four years in prison by order of the Federal Court of Posadas, for a cause of narcotics and had been wanted since 2019 when he escaped from the Third Police Station in Eldorado. Finally, the recaptured was transferred to the police unit at the disposal of the Criminal and Federal Justice.

The provincial force continues with the investigations to recapture his two accomplices who had fled with the detainee.
