Shortly before midnight yesterday, the driver of a Ford Escort, a native of the town of Guaraní, collided with a Ford Ka that was parked at the intersection of Libertad avenue and Neuquén street, in the heart of Oberá.

The person involved was identified as Hugo Ariel G. (39), who according to the breathalyzer test was in control of the car with 2.26 grams of alcohol per liter of blood, that is, almost five times higher than what is allowed.

For this reason, the uniformed officers of the Regional Unit II who intervened drew up the infringement report and the subject was delayed. The car was hijacked and it was reported that the proceedings will be submitted to the Oberá Municipal Misdemeanor Court.

“It is important to note that from the Police and the Municipality, breathalyzer operations are diagrammed with the aim of identifying people with a high level of alcohol and avoiding traffic accidents, mainly on weekends,” they explained from the force.
