A couple experienced a terrifying moment on December 30 at their home located at 143 and 605 de Arana, after being surprised by 4 violent criminals who, based on initial calculations, generated losses of more than one million pesos.
This event takes place one day after the brutal attempted assault suffered by a 70-year-old retiree in Tolosa, who, as if it were a raid, knocked down the door with a kind of pipe, “bazooka type”, as described by the victim.
Now, this couple whose ages are around 40 years old, joined the unfortunate history of bloody entrances on the outskirts of La Plata that have been recorded for several months.
According to official sources, in addition to the theft of belongings and damage to the property, the couple experienced moments of fear and astonishment due to the threats launched by the thugs to take full control of the house and thus be able to carry out their criminal plan with “tranquility”. .
The incident, according to police sources to this newspaper, occurred at around 7:00 p.m., when the victims were engaged in carrying out various maintenance tasks.
At the time of the criminals’ break-in, the man was in front of his property watering the plants.
That circumstance was taken advantage of by four subjects who were touring the area.
Most likely, noticing that the homeowner was concentrating on his chores, the subjects were more motivated to jump a wire fence at the bottom of the lot and thus take the victim by surprise. And so it happened. They didn’t even give the man time to at least hide in his house.
Without preamble and showing their firearms, they began to issue serious threats to break the will of the victim who was still holding the hose in his hand.
“We come for the dollars,” the thieves clarified before deploying an entire arsenal of psychological torture against the couple.
While two interrogated the owners, two others dedicated themselves to searching the house. In that violent raid, the thieves managed to find the victims’ savings.
Not satisfied with the 4,000 US dollars (1,200,000 pesos at the parallel exchange rate) and the 100,000 pesos they had in hand, the criminals decided to go for more and seized a laptop and a cell phone.
With everything in their power, the subjects left the scene and despite a tour carried out by the police, their whereabouts could not be found. That is why it is suspected that they had external support that quickly took them out of the area in a vehicle. Within this framework, the images from cameras in the sector are now being analyzed in search of clues from the suspects.
