Schlager legend Freddy Quinn’s health appears to be poor. The 91-year-old had to go to the hospital shortly before Christmas.

Hamburg – The Austrian hit star Freddy Quinn (91) had to go to the hospital. He had his big break in 1956 with the song “Junge, komm bald wieder” and sold around 80 million records. But his hits “The Guitar and the Sea”, “Hundred Man and a Command” and “Homesickness” also belong to the bedrock of the German-language hit. The 91-year-old now lives in Germany as a Hamburg resident by choice.

Now there is some evidence that the 91-year-old is in very poor health. According to the “Freizeit Revue” he has been in a hospital since before Christmas. Shortly before Christmas, Freddy Quinn probably collapsed and is still in the Hamburg clinic. It probably wasn’t the first time something like this had happened to him. Because the pop singer has been suffering from heart problems for a long time, which probably lead to breakdowns again and again. The fans of the hit legend are very worried about their idol.

Freddy Quinn: The hit star has already reserved a grave

Freddy Quinn has been quiet for about 12 years. The hit legend withdrew from the public and no new songs were released. According to the “Freizeit Revue”, the singer has already written a will and even determined the place of his burial. Because in 2008 his wife Lilli Blessmann († 89) died, whereupon the Hamburg resident reserved a double grave in the Ohlsdorf cemetery. According to heute.de, Freddy himself said a long time ago: “Everything is organized. It was our last wish together. I will lie next to her one day. Maybe it won’t be long.”
