iPhones, iPads and Macs have become indispensable in many companies. The work devices issued by companies as well as private devices used by employees for business purposes (“bring your own device”) can be managed centrally. With iOS 16 and macOS 13 Ventura, Apple has again improved many business features that administrators should know about.

In the live webinar “MDM and ABM: What’s new in Apple device management” The technical author and mobile specialist Mark Zimmermann provides detailed information about the central innovations in the areas of inventory, configuration and management of iPhones, iPads and Macs in companies. This includes, for example, how administrators can expand the DNS proxy for individual managed apps or the entire system – and assign web content filter profiles.

Due to Apple’s major switch to eSIMs, which was initiated in the USA with the iPhone 14, the procedures for mobile phone providers are also changing, including for local administrators and providers. The program also includes the Apple Business Manager, which recently also supports Google Workspace as an identity provider. Declarative Device Management (DDM) as an alternative to the previous MDM protocol is also covered.

The approximately 120-minute webinar will take place on January 17, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event includes live demos and space to answer attendee questions. A recording will be available afterwards. The discounted early bird ticket, which is still available until January 8, costs 116.10 euros.

Participation in this webinar is free with the new Mac & i Pro subscription for admins and developers, a total of 24 webinars per year are included.
