On April 13, the police and ambulance were called to the parking garage in central Karlshamn. The person who raised the alarm was 23-year-old Herman Nilica, and it was initially suspected to be a case of illness.
But Herman had been shot in the chest, and died before the blue light staff arrived.
Arrested in Lund
During the same night, a man in his 20s was arrested at the train station in Lund, and he has since been detained on suspicion of murder.
But the man denies the criminal charges. He says in questioning that he is not the one who shot, but that if the investigation still shows that it was done in self-defense.
The two men had met in the garage to settle a dispute over a mutual female acquaintance, and Herman was armed with, among other things, a machete when he was found.
No murder weapon was found during the investigation.
