A family member of the teenager suspected of having killed a five-year-old child in the Vosges on Tuesday testified to BFMTV. He claims that the young man has psychological or even psychiatric “troubles”.
The profile of the 15-year-old young man suspected of having killed a 5-year-old girl in the Vosges on Tuesday is becoming clearer. The teenager was taken into custody. A family member, who testified anonymously to BFMTV, explains that his relatives do not understand what could have happened. “When I see him, he’s normal. I don’t understand why he said that at all,” he said.
However, he recognizes that the young man has psychological and even psychiatric difficulties.
“He has troubles, he talks to his bike, he sees a psychologist. When he goes out on his own, he does bullshit,” the family member told BFMTV. “He is on his phone a lot, it drives him crazy. He may have reproduced some weird things he saw on TikTok,” he also said.
The suspect was charged with sexual assault
The young man has already been implicated for acts of sexual assault, rape and violence, recently committed against minors. He had, for these facts, been indicted last year and placed under judicial supervision.
This judicial control includes in particular an obligation of care. The teenager had been placed in a closed educational center, in which he spent a year, which is the maximum duration for this type of placement. He was therefore released in February but remains under judicial control.
The body of the child was discovered Tuesday afternoon in an apartment in the small town of Rambervillers. The little girl’s mother had alerted the police in the early afternoon after noticing the disappearance of her child, who was playing in front of her home, she told several journalists.
