Big surprise at the start of the year, Hi-Fi RUSH was a rapid success with its arrival in the Xbox Game Pass last January. After announcing nearly 2 million players on the title, Tango Gameworks is releasing a third update.

Hi-Fi RUSH update #3 in detail

In addition to bug fixes (such as falling into the abyss in the battle against Roquefort), the developers are taking the opportunity to improve the game elsewhere, with new options in particular to make it even more accessible.

The Bossplay costume pack is available

Chai and his friends borrow a bit of Vandelay’s villainous vogue in the Bossplay costume pack! Now you can strut your stuff in sinister style with the Bossplay Costume Pack, available now on the Microsoft Store, Epic Games Store, and Steam.

Game Accessibility Improvements

2D Rhythm Game Helper (located in the Accessibility menu)

  • Available in Easy and Normal difficulty levels, this feature provides a larger success window for timed grabs. Note that the number of frames added for successful captures varies depending on the BPM of the music playing during that track.
  • Missing grabs will still allow players to complete the rhythm game (instead of failing instantly); players must enter at least 70% of correct entries to succeed.

The events to which this feature applies are:

  • Generators found in tracks 01 and 03
  • Destruction of the AR lens in runway 04
  • Enabling Data Nodes in Channel 05
  • Destruction of the barrier in lane 11

Auto Parry

Available on Easy and Normal difficulty, pressing and holding the button for the first action of a forced parry (or dodge) event will allow Chai to automatically parry or dodge subsequent actions in the event.

  • Missing the initial action is fine, as long as players press and hold the key for the next action. A player still needs to parry most attacks (about 70%) to “succeed” in these game events.
  • During a beat hit parry attack, players must still press attack or parry at the Beat Hit prompt to deliver the finishing blow.

This action can be used to:

  • Rhythm Parry Attacks (Normal Enemies and Bosses)
  • VU-REV attacks that require dodging
  • The lasers that must be parried to destroy them

Please note that 2D Rhythm Game Assist and Auto Rhythm Parry are only available on Easy and Normal difficulty.

Collectibles Information

The stage selection screen now displays the number of collectibles you have found in each stage. If there are no collectibles of a certain type in a given stage, the screen will show 0/0.

Collections completed in a level will display a green check mark on the stage selection screen.
