Mexico City.- Elements of the National Guard found in Culiacán, Sinaloa, a synthetic drug known as “crystal”, hidden in bars of soap.

When doing routine checks on packages at a courier company, federal agents also found marijuana inside food supplement bottles.

As part of the anti-drug actions, guards entered, with prior authorization, a courier and parcel company located in the Municipality of Culiacán.

GN personnel carried out preventive screenings with the support of canine pairs and, in two shipments, the canine specimen showed a change in behavior, followed by a positive indication.

When performing a manual inspection on one of the packages, they located around 60 handmade soaps wrapped in transparent plastic.

Each bar of soap concealed within it a white, crystalline substance with similar characteristics to the narcotic known as crystal.

In the other package, they found six black plastic jars, which claimed to contain a nutritional supplement, but were actually hiding green, dry grass.

The possible drug was made available to the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) in Culiacán, where the exact weight and its type will be verified to continue the investigations.
