Albacete, Aug 10 (EFE).- Albacete striker Higinio has defined Espanyol, his first rival in the league, as a “great team” and the “big” of the Second Division, both for “budget and staff.”
Higinio has referred to his debut in the league competition in this way, because, according to the striker from Calasparra (Murcia): “if you already want the league to start, imagine if you were up against a team with aspirations to go up”, he has explained.
Goals are not a requirement for the white attacker. “Yes, it is to help the team as much as possible in any way: oxygenating the game, staying with the ball or breaking into space. If I work as I should and I’m physically fit, the goals will come,” he said.
Nor will it be an obligation for the group to repeat the previous campaign, in which they fought for promotion, because Higinio thinks that the objective is “to achieve permanence” and then opt for higher levels.
“We must keep our feet on the ground, because this year in the category there are teams with crazy budgets and we have to be calm, knowing where our place is,” he remarked. EFE
